Uddipan (उद्दीपन) is a Sanskrit term meaning "ignition" or "stimulus," referring to the act of kindling or arousing enthusiasm, motivation, or inspiration. In the context of social entrepreneurship, Uddipan symbolizes the spark that drives individuals and communities to create innovative, sustainable solutions for social challenges.

UDDIPAN will conduct different kinds of awareness activities (training, workshop, idea contest, pitching competition) in collaboration with different business, academic and government agencies. And this will create a significant amount of awareness about the “Entrepreneurship Ecosystem” and will create an impactful mass to cater to.
There are a number of socio-economic issues that social entrepreneurs would be thinking of resolving in a sustainable way. At the same time, to be a sustainable social business, it is essential to know the fundamentals such as a customer’s choice and preference, turnovers, break even point (BEP) & scalability.
After doing research (or feasibility study) UDDIPAN will provide a comprehensive Business Development Plan (BDP). This BDP will provide essential information on the fundamentals of any business viz. CUSTOMERS, MARKETS & RELATIONSHIPS
This service is developed to save resources and energy of any institution / person who wishes to launch a new social venture. We will test a prototype based on the requirement of the customer. UDDIPAN will serve as project manager for this service.
In Pokhara, platform to foster social entrepreneurship is not widely accessible to catch the momentum of entrepreneurship and startups. To fill this gap, a not-for-profit institution has been established to support aspiring social entrepreneurs focused on sustainable socio-economic solutions. It provides services like research, business development, prototype testing, networking, financing, and mentoring. Acting as a platform for ideation to expansion, it connects entrepreneurs, mentors, and investors to co-create social enterprises and build a sustainable social entrepreneurship ecosystem.
The scope of service is not only to establish an enterprise but also to withstand them in long run. So UDDIPAN provides handholding support from ideation to post-operation of enterprises to witness growth and sustainable impact.
